Our individual and group counselling is safe, confidential and respectful. A counsellor will work with you to discuss your options and support you as you make decision about the best way forward.
We also offer joint counselling for women and their partners, however where violence or abuse is still occurring within the relationship, we may encourage separate sessions for a period of time. We can also provide counselling to women in same-sex relationships.
Group sessions are held monthly throughout the year, and usually last for two hours. Women who have participated report finding it useful to hear other women’s stories in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
Counselling is available at our offices in the city, Christies Beach, Smithfield and Murray Bridge.
This program is funded jointly by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services and the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department.
